Fees and Services

Physical Therapy Direct provides services at the location of your choice within the greater St. Louis area. Whether it is your home or office, our physical therapists bring everything we need to the session. This typically includes a therapy table and exercise equipment such as a strength pulley specifically designed for rehab. We found that physical therapy in your space allows for functional exercises using equipment you already have. This increases follow through on your personal home exercise plan. We will exercise on your steps and walk in your driveway bringing your personal goals to life every single session.

Physical therapy sessions typically last between 45-60 minutes.  You and your therapist decide how many weekly sessions would be most beneficial, usually 1-2 sessions per week. Physical Therapy Direct collaborates with you on your goals so a home exercise plan is crucial for your progress. Physical therapy is not always a quick fix. But we provide effective, quality, and efficient therapy to get you back to feeling yourself as soon as possible. Because of the unique experience we offer, you may be discharged earlier than a traditional physical therapy out-patient clinic.

We are in-network with Medicare and the majority of supplemental insurance plans. Medicare covers 80% of each visit’s cost with the other 20% covered (either partially or fully) by the supplement. If you do not have a supplement or receive coverage from a Medicare replacement plan (examples include Essence, Medicare Advantage, and Medicare Complete), then your typical cost averages around $20 per visit. Payment is expected as soon as your claim is processed.

For all other non-Medicare insurance carriers, we are an out-of-network provider. The cost for each physical therapy visit is $150. Payment with cash, check, or credit card is collected at the time of service. We can submit claims to your insurance as an out-of-network provider, and you may receive reimbursement if you have out-of-network benefits. Other factors that affect your reimbursement amount are the deductible, co-insurance, or co-payment responsibilities.

As each case is unique, please call us if you have any questions regarding your insurance. We can navigate through your plan and provide information specific to you.
